N'empêche avec les licences Mario, Pokémons et autres Nintendo est bien parti pour s'en mettre plein les fouilles.

IBM annonce avoir livré 10 millions de processeurs PowerPC à Nintendo pour sa console de jeux vidéo GameCube. Le 10 millionième processeur a été fabriqué dans l'usine IBM située à Burlington où la technologie cuivre est utilisée depuis 1998. Le PowerPC est fabriqué dans un process 0,18µ. Le processeur utilisé dans la GameCube, appelé "Gekko" est une amélioration de l'architecture PowerPC qui le rend plus performant.
