[XFree] impossible de changer la resolution

j'ai modifié XF86Config-4 mais ca n'y fait rien
et ca me saoule un peu le 640
voici le fichier complet
si qqun pouvait m eclairer

t'es sur que c'est ce fichier qu'il lit pour initialiser X ?

alors c'est quel fichier qu'il utilise ?
a la suite de l installation de xfree, il me sort un assistant qui me cree ce fichier alors les reponses que je lui ai fourni
ce n'est pas ce fichier qu'il faut editer ?

normalement si ...essaie en editant le fichier XF86Config (c'est pour voir si c'est bien xfree4 qui est lancé, et pas le 3)

c'est celui la vu que j'ai modifier des ptis truc pour la souris et x ne voulait pas se lancer avant :(

t'es sur que ton ecran gere le 1024 ??
 
si c'est le cas, tes frequences sont pas bonnes, 38khz de hsync c'est pas assez
 
essaie avec:
50-70
40-100
