Probleme HAL daemon, montage USB NTFS - Hardware - Linux et OS Alternatifs

Bonjour à tous, (sous xubuntu 7.04 feisty)
 
J'essaye de diagnostiquer ce qui bloque et je cherche à résoudre mon probleme.
Lorsque je branche un disque dur USB (usb 2 sur un port usb 1, je n'ai que ca) les ressources sont utilisées à 70% et aucune icone d'automount (HAL) n'apparait jamais sur le bureau
 
J'ai cherché à trouver d'ou venait le pb, avec top j'ai trouvé que c'etait HAL qui bouffait le cpu, et donc j'ai regardé les in/out lorsque je branche mon disque, ca donne ca :

Environ 5 messages par secondes... et ca continue sans fin.
 
J'ai aussi installé la plupart des paquets libellé "ntfs" pour le cas ou il en aurai besoin mais ca n'a rien changé, c'est pareil avant et apres.
 
Que dois je comprendre ? Comment faits vous pour monter vos disques usb ntfs ? est ce que c'est hal qui doit s'en charger ? (pour le fat, oui, c'est sur, ca marche tres bien)
 
Pour info, lors d'un montage de clé usb en fat 32, ca donne ca  dans les meme conditions

il y a un gros souci c'est que ton disque se connecte puis de déconnecte, j'ai déjà eu cela.
Que donne un tail -f /var/log/messages à la connection ?

Tu l'as sans doute essayé mais tu ne le mentionnes pas alors je me risque : as-tu essayé de monter ton disque manuellement, sans utiliser automount ? Ce ne serait pas satisfaisant même si ça marchait mais si ça ne marche pas cela voudrait dire que automount n'est pas coupable.
 
Et dans le cas où le montage manuel fonctionne, tu pourrais nous montrer les /etc/auto.* relatifs à ton problème ?

modprobe -r ehci_hcd
 
ehci_hcd étant le module noyau qui gère les hubs usb2
et il pose soucis lorsque l'on branche du matos usb2 sur des hubs usb1 ...
