Sur une Mandrake 9.2, après mise à jour du noyau (2.4.26) et compilation, je ne vois plus le second PC Win2k. En revanche, je vois bien le troisième, sous Linux.  
J'ai revérifié les paramètres de compilation, en vain. Ci-joint mon fichier de compilation. Pourriez-vous y jeter un oeil et m'aider à trouver le pb ?

en pingant ton PC win2k par l'IP cela marche ?

 
Oui, le ping fonctionne de chaque côté. Un détail important que j'ai omis de préciser.
La machine Linux incriminée est équipée d'un mobilerack, ce qui fait que j'alterne entre 2 disques dur (cela me permet de faire des essais de configs).  
 
disque 1 :  
tout fonctionne à la perfection.
 
disque 2 :  
je vois bien le PC Linux, mais pas le Win2k.
En revanche, de l'environnement Win2k, je vois parfaitement la machine Linux (et j'accède d'ailleurs à la partition partagée).
 
Je suis sensé avoir déroulé les mêmes installations sur les 2 disques : mdk 9.2 + passage noyau 2.4.22 => 2.4.26 + paramétrage et compilation. Mais visiblement, j'ai du merdouiller lors de la seconde installation, vu que je n'ai pas le même résultat...
 
Espérant que ces précisions vous aideront dans le diagnostique.

Je ne vois que les 2 machines Linux du LAN.  
Celle à pb (192.168.200.2) et la distante (192.168.200.11)  
toutes deux sur le même workgroup que l'ensemble du LAN évidemment.
 
PS : je modifie de suite les 2 paramètres que tu as évoqués, je recompile et je poste le résultat dans la foulée.

un "smclient -L IPduwin2k" donne koi ?

 
Il n'y a pas de seveur wins, car la machine win2k n'est qu'une workstation.  
 
smbclient -L 192.168.200.1
me donne :

PS : la reconpilation avec la modif des 2 paramètres ne change rien.

 
Désolé, je n'avais pas vu la suite... En tapant le password,  je vois tous les répertoires partagés de mon serveur.

donc c'est un pb de nom NETBIOS.
 
il te faut un serveur WINS ou alors tu remplis les fichiers lmhosts

 
Il s'agit d'une machine Win2k Workstation donc (sauf erreur) pas de serveur wins dispo.
 
Donc je viens de :
1/ ajouter au fichier /etc/samba/lmhosts la ligne "192.168.200.1 pcserver"
2/ Arrêter puis rédémarrer le service samba.
3/ Lancer recherche nouveaux serveurs.
=> toujours rien !
 
PS : je viens de relancer la machine avec l'autre hdd.  
J'ai vérifier les fichiers /etc/hosts et /etc/samba/lmhosts
aucun ne fait apparaître la ligne "192.168.200.1 pcserver"
Pourant, je vois immédiatement le pc win2k, je ne comprends pas...

je n'ai pas sélectionné le firewall à l'install :  
iptables -L     =>    command not found  
 
Bon tant pis, je vais essayer de redérouler une install neuve pas à pas en revérifiant mes notes.
