Contexte : je suis sous mandrake 9.1
 
Lorsque je démarre, il me dit qu'il ne peut lancer l'interface graphique : cause : no screen found...
 
 
Il me propose de verifier que tout est correcte (ecran, carte, dimension, etc...) : tout est bon !
 
 
Et pourtant, ca ne marche pas ? :(
 
 
 
Que faire ?  :sweat:

Une idée peut-etre :
J'ai ce message d'erreur quand je démarre avec une version de noyau  
différente de celle avec laquelle j'ai compilé le driver Nvidia de ma carte graphique.

OK débutant,
regarde et si l'erreur n'apparait pas clairement poste le contenu du fichier /var/log/XFree86.0.log
Pour cela tu dois etre root.

Petit hic... je ne sais pas comment faire pour acceder au contenu du texte via la console...
 
 
Je pensais pouvoir ouvrir ce fichier, puis l'enregistrer dans une partiton fat32 que je partage à la fois avec windows puis linux... ainsi, j'aurais pu, via windows, vous poster le contenu de ce fichier dans cette discussion  :??:  
 
 
Y'a pas une autre solution ? Proposez moi siyouplé  :sweat:

J'ai le meme probleme avec un lcd 17" en dvi mais quand je le passe  en vga j'ai plus de problemes, sur GF4 aussi. Qu'est-ce que tu as comme ecran ? Est-ce que tu as installé les drivers Nvidia

Quelle GeForce 4 exactement ?
 
Bon tu te logues en root : tu tapes root et ton password de root.
Ensuite tu tapes : XFdrake --expert
(attention, les majuscules sont importantes sous Unix).
Là tu arrives à un menu et tu peux tout reconfigurer : driver (nv ), écran et résolution.

Nvidia geforce4 mx 440se with agp8x avec un ecran samtron 55e... c'est bizarre parce que ca marchait très bien... je crois que c'est parce que j'ai voulu basculé l'affichage vers ma télé et là, ça à déconné  :o

Tu te connecte en root sur une console (alt-crtl F1 à F6, F7 c'est la console graphique) puis tu fais less /var/log/XFree86.0.log.
(man less pour la doc de la commande  :) )

lorsque tu lances XFdrake et que tu fais le test est ce que kelkechose s'affiche ?
si non peux tu installer les drivers nvidia sur le site de nvidia ?

pkoin on a 2 fichiers différent ? lekel est le bon ? le 2e ?
 
si le 2e, tu devrais commenter Load "glx", car tu utilise le drivers de XFree ( nv ) et non le driver nvidia. Or le driver de XFree ne supporte pas la 3D.
 
le moniteur est correcte ?

J'ai trouvé d'ou venait l'erreur...
 
 
En fait, quand le message d'erreur apparaisait, il me disait (j'avais pas fais gaffe) qu'il y avait une erreur à la ligne 46... ce que je vois à cette ligne c'est ça (en gras):

c'est normal car tu n'as pas choisi une souris avec molette dans la liste.
 
donc soit tu corrige le tout ( cf http://linux-wizard.tuxfamily.org/ [...] ml#molette ) en mettant comme protocol IMPS/2, en virant emulate, en laissant Zaxismapping, ...
soit tu lances mousedrake ( ou Mandrake Control Center -> Matériel -> Souris -> Souris avec molette )
