ASSOCIATE CUSTOMER ENGINEER (Junior)  
LOCATION: Luxembourg

 
Through intensive 8-week boot camp in the US, the Associate Customer Engineer will be able to get his/her technical career on the fast track. This training program is specifically tailored to the Associate Customer Engineer role and includes technical skills, professional skills and role specific process and methodology training.  
 
The US Boot Camp takes place from October 24, 2011 to December 16, 2011.  
 
General Summary:  
 
Perform preventative and remedial maintenance on EMC equipment at a wide variety of customer locations and environments with limited supervision as directed by management.  
Work with assigned mentor, team members, customers and direct mangers to gain full understanding of EMC products and culture.  
Adhere to administrative policies and escalation procedures.  
 
 
Principal duties and responsibilities:  
 
·               Perform remedial actions part replacements as directed by our EMC support teams.  
·               Maintain account documents and update all Service Requests promptly, close at the completion of an event.  
·               Adherence to the following: Prompt onsite arrival time, Technical expertise, Knowledge of customer environment, Professionalism.  
·               Learn the basics of an installation cycle, preventive maintenance and associated upgrades according to established procedures.  
·               Adhere to proper escalation procedures, learn and adhere to the “Keys to Success”: understand its importance.  
·               Participate to a “Dispatching” role to perform first line call qualification. Participate to an “On-Call” schedule to service our Customers outside normal business hours.  
·               Maintain assigned spare parts, tools and test equipment. This includes the timely and accrue submission of all associated documentation as well as part return within 24 hours of its event.  
·               Perform other duties as required and directed by Manager.  
·               Attend Symmetrix and Open System classes at Corporate training centers. Attend courses as required to enhance existing skills and gain new technical capabilities.  
 
Skills:  
 
·               Bachelor degree in ICT  
·               Graduate or first (technical) professional experience  
·               Technical aptitude or equivalent experience in ICT environment    
·               Ability to build, repair or prepare assemblies across EMC's product line  
·               Ability to work effectively in teams under management guidance  
·               Troubleshooting & Problem solving skills  
·               Ability to adapt to change  
·               Good communication skills in French and English. Luxemburgish and/or German will be an asset.  
·               Computer literacy: good knowledge of Microsoft Office  
 
   
 
Technical Skills:  
 
· Basic UNIX, Linux or Windows experience is an asset.  
 
   
 
Global Services Associate Program:
 
·         General Operating System knowledge  
·         TCP/IP Networking knowledge

C'est a mon avis vraiment bien pour un debutant et franchement vu le nom de la boite un gros gros plus sur un CV   :D
