The Solution Development Division is responsible for end-to-end solution development for customers: B2B, B2C, Wholesale, SDE and Staff & Support, aka IT development and network engineering.
We are looking for a:
Design Engineer - IT Environment & Implementation Coordinator (m/f)
Within the Team, the Design Engineer, IT Environment & Implementation Coordinator, addresses all topics and actions regarding the proper handling, analysis, challenging and follow-up of Environment- and Implementation-related activities. Through his involvement, he ensures a proper participation in the project conception and further implementation.
 
- Job purpose
. Manage IT environments for one or more major company and technical projects; ensure that present and future requirements for these environments are considered, planned and implemented in a timely fashion.
. Ensure that IT environments have resources (storage, CPU's, etc) that are monitored and measured, to ensure that the IT infrastructure meets project requirements, with strict adherence to budget, timing and qualitative constraints.
. Coordinate the planning, design, build, configuration and testing of hardware and system software pertaining to this infrastructure
 
- Duties and responsibilities
. Project Planning, Coordination & Delivery
o Guarantee qualitative delivery of infrastructure content & components identified during project design & architecture (namely, hardware & system software).
o Align with other delivery teams and engineers from a technical and implementation point of view.
. Communicate and manage expectations of business/technical projects, including the liaison with Change and Release Management and operational teams.
. Establish and follow up a concrete and realistic infrastructure delivery plan identifying clearly deliverables and associated resources from the identified delivery teams.
. Ensure adequate and frequent communication and coordination across departments and towards the involved management.
.Interact with project sponsors and (technical) project managers to address project implementation issues and activities.
. Follow implementation of defined solutions, ensuring compliancy and quality with agreed non-functional requirements.
 
- Skills and Experience
. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Telecommunications, or equivalent by experience.
. 3-5 years experience in one or several domains :
. Project implementation & release issues
. Large infrastructure base
. Knowledge and experience in project management and methodologies
. IT Software life cycle management
. General knowledge of financial topics, including cost structure, investments, operational costs.
. Ability and capability to work at a high level of abstraction while still interested in "hands-on" activities.
. Fluency in French and Dutch, English as a plus.
