Duke Nukem Forever developer 3D Realms has never announced even a tentative release date for their first-person shooter - but that didn't stop reports that the game wouldn't ship in 2003 from surfacing on Thursday. Shacknews was the first to report a statement by Take Two in response to a question from an analyst during a financial results conference call that the title won't be ready for the 2003 holiday shopping season. In the words of the Take Two representative: "We're just hopeful the team in Dallas will finish it." This doesn't mean Duke Nukem Forever has been cancelled or even delayed. It merely indicates Take Two doesn't know when 3D Realms will deliver it. "
