ATI, c pas du gatos à installer... - Installation - Linux et OS Alternatifs

Je suis allé chercher les drivers gatos en CVS (drm-kernel), je les ai installés (copié radeon.o dans /lib/modules/2.4.29/drivers/char/drm), j'ai rebooté, et XFree a planté en faisant reboter ma bécane !!!!!
Je cherche donc un bon tut pour pouvoir installer les drivers snas problème car gatos, ça manque un peu de documentation, je trouve... Et pis 'faudra mettre les liens ds le tomik de liens !!!

drm-kernel ne sufit pas (c'est juste le module pour le noyau), faut aussi installer les pilotes de Gatos (Ati2) Correspondant à Xfree 4.2 (prends les experiment 16, les 15 ont l'aire de merder)

ouais mon bon gatos, dri et xfree sont en train de pacther dans tout les sens, vaut mieux attendre un peu d'avoir la 4.3

c'est juste quand ce de gatos alors, c'est supporté jusqu'au 9000 dans le 4.2.99.x

pas avec dri, en tous cas... J'ai pas réussi àmettre le support dri dans les 4.2.99.3 d'origine  :cry:

dans le cvs, dans xc/programs/Xserver/hw/xfree86/os-support/linux/drm/kernel y a les pilotes pour la version que tu as construite. Suffit d'y faire un make radeon && make install et t'as tout ce qu'il faut, mais je sais pas comment faire pour les récuperer pour les utiliser avec les packages 4.2.99.3 que t'as utilisé.

apparemment, il FAUT recompiler XFree. Je trouve ke c nul... Kom si XFree pouvait pas mettre des drivers à l'extérieur de son moteur d'afichage de fenetres... Tssssssssssssssssss... M'enfin bon... J'ai tjs trouvé ke X était barbare... Je teste ça, et je vous tiens au courant... Merci Daique !!! :hello:

Oui et non, ça a plus a voir avec le noyau. Et vu que les snapshots sont justes pour tester rapindement par le plus de monde possible pour trouver le plus de bugs restants, il ne vont pas constrire les modules pour tout le monde.
 
Je viens de repenser a http://dri.sourceforge.net/snapshots/ essaye déja avec ceux la(tu dois prendre le package r200 puis y a plus qu'a suivre les instructions) si tu sais pas attendre la 4.3 :)
