je suis en train de dépanner un pc d'un pote qui avait des problèmes avec le bios qui perdaient les infos
 
ils devaient souvent changer la pile de la carte mère.
 
Cette semaine j'ai flashé son bios avec une des dernières version
 
la carte mère est une ELITE K7S5VA mais il n'y a pas d'indication de version sur la carte
 
alors que sur le site il parle de plusieurs version là j'ai flashé avec la 30811 du 2004/01/02
 
mais j'ai des problèmes au démarrage à froid
 
je suis obligé de couper l'alimentation secteur puis de la remettre pour que ça démarre correctement
 
il existe une autre version là 37558 du 2003/03/28 mais je ne sais pas si elle concerne la carte là

car je trouve qu'il y a une grosse différence de version

salut!
 
pb du lost cmos connu sur cette cm... pas de solution en flashant le bios.
 
à faire: modif hardware dispo sur ocworkbench avec 1 peu de chance... mais fer à souder!  radical, apparement.
 
ce qui avait marché pour moi:  
 
tu force le test mémoire, et tu désactive le fastboot dans le bios, ça laisse le temps au chipset de chauffer un peu.
 
ce pb serait dû au sis 735 qui a du mal à fonctionner sur une certaine plage de température.

mais au risque de me répéter, flasher le bios n'est pas la solution de ton pb, c'est une maladie hardware connue des k7s5a...

Sounddriver does not work.
 
We shipped this mainboard with two different soundchip.  
The chip is located left of the PCI slot 2. It's a small, quadratic black chip. The chips used are named ALC100P and CMI9738.

Sometimes "CMOS Checksum Error..." Message appear at cold boot.
 
1. Chek if your power supply meet above spec.
2. Update to attached BIOS
3. Reduce memory timings in BIOS to:
-DRAM Timing Mode "safe"
-SDR/DDR CAS Latency "3T"
-SDR/DDR RAS Active Time "7T"
-SDR/DDR RAS Precharge Time "4T"

Bootproblems with XP1700+ and XP1800+ Palomino Core.
 
PLease use attached BIOS. The latest Release from our website does not work well with these two CPUs.

Board hangs up with blinking cursor or config_mg error message while booting Windows.
 
Put your memory module in the second DIMM slot.  
This issue is caused by some memory modules get misdetected in the slots located next to the CPU socket.

Sound output and microphone input is very soft.
 
Please use active speaker sets only and enable the microphone boost in Windows Volume control panel.

BIOS Update went wrong:
1. Download and the BIOS file again
2. Extract it and rename the extracted rom file to amiboot.rom
3. Copy amibbot.rom to a formatted and tested diskette
4. Insert this diskette into K7S5As floppy drive and power on the PC
5. The BIOS file will be written to the BIOS chip automatically
6. When the BIOS has successfully been programmed, the computer will reboot.
 
Please do not interrupt the BIOS flash process until it has fully completed!
